We don't even know what her face looks like, but God does. He knows where she is right now. He knows who is holding her, rocking her, feeding her. He is taking care of her, and He loves her more than I do. He has a plan to make something beautiful out of her life, and we are so blessed that he has called us to be a part of it. Somewhere, halfway across the world, she is waiting too. I believe that we are meant to adopt this precious baby girl, wherever she is. And because I know that God is in control, I am at peace.
Don't get me wrong, I still jump most of the time when my cell phone rings these days, since we are getting close to "our time" to get a referral call! But my heart is at peace while we wait.
Meanwhile, here's a few pictures to catch you up on what we've been up to:
Christmas was wonderful! All the boys were really into it, and this was the first year Joshie really understood things. Here he is checking to see if Santa ate his cookies and drank his milk.
Here are the boys on Christmas morning. We had a wonderful day.
On New Years Day, we went to a really cool ranch that is about an hour from our house. It has lots of exotic animals, and the boys had so much fun feeding them. They especially loved getting so close to a giraffe! The emus were a little freaky...they gave me a few nightmares!
